American Biogas Council elects eight directors

Five re-elected and three new directors will serve on board.

The American Biogas Council (ABC) membership elected eight directors to its board, including five re-elected directors and three new directors. The newly elected directors are:

  • Tony Callendrello, CEO of NEO Energy (new)
  • Bill Jorgenson, managing partner at Vanguard Renewables (new)
  • Craig Frear, director of research and technology at Regenis (new)
  • Christine McKiernan, vice president of engineering at BIOFerm Energy Systems, (re-elected)
  • Wayne Davis, vice president of Harvest Power, Inc. (re-elected)
  • Amy McCrae Kessler, executive vice president and head of environmental and regulatory affairs at Turning Earth LLC (re-elected)
  • Norma McDonald, North American Sales Manager at Organic Waste Systems (re-elected)
  • Bernie Sheff, vice president of engineering at ES Engineering Services, LLC (re-elected)

Continuing ABC Board Chair, Bernie Sheff, remarked "I am thrilled to be working with such a knowledgeable, experienced Board filled with new and different perspectives. The diversity of this Board ensures that the ABC, the only trade association representing the US biogas industry, will continue to support biogas companies and grow biogas project deployment.

The eight newly elected directors will join Paul Greene, vice president at Natural Systems Utilities LLC; Mike Land, director of Baker Tilly; Lisa McFadden, senior program manager at Water Environment Federation; Paul Owen, senior international account manager at Caterpillar Financial Services Corp.; Paul Relis, senior vice president at CR&R; Inc.; and Susan Robinson, policy manager at Waste Management Inc.

The Washington-based ABC is a national trade association representing the biogas industry in the U.S. The ABC represents more than 200 companies covering the entire biogas supply chain who are dedicated to maximizing the production and use of biogas from organic waste.
