Company founder calls milestone a significant step forward.

When the holding company Carbon Cycle Investments acquired a controlling interest in MPM Technologies (MPM) through a stock purchase agreement in April 2013, the Spokane Valley, Washington-based company says one of the primary objectives was to accelerate the relaunch of MPM’s photon-induced plasma arc gasification technology.

Branded as Carbon Cycle Power (CCP) after the acquisition, the technology has been reviewed and re-engineered over the past two years in anticipation of building a demonstration unit.

CCI, which develops, acquires and manages businesses that stimulate social, economic and environmental sustainability, says it considers Feb. 12, 2015, as a landmark date in the re-evolution of CCP’s gasification technology with the unveiling of the completed gasification vessel at Wheeler Industries in Spokane Valley. CCI Cofounder and Chief Operating Officer Ryan Skinner was on hand to see the completed vessel.

Skinner says it was an emotional moment. “We’re that much closer to making the world a better place for future generations with this significant step forward,” he adds.

With fabrication of the primary vessel of the CCP-gasification technology now finished, next steps are to complete the components of the electrical connections and begin sourcing the auxiliary systems that move the waste toward conversion into syngas in the main vessel.
