The Recycling Today Media Group, Valley View, Ohio, publisher of Renewable Energy from Waste (REW) magazine, has partnered with solid waste management consultants, Gershman, Brickner & Bratton Inc. (GBB), Fairfax, Virginia, to offer a series of webinars to educate and broaden your knowledge base on what is becoming the fastest growing waste conversion technology being deployed in North America.

The REW Summer School Series: Anaerobic Digestion will provide key insights into the process of anaerobic digestion (AD) imperative to municipalities and companies looking into this waste conversion process as a method of organic waste reduction and energy production.

From municipalities interested in increasing organics diversion to corporations and wastewater treatments plants that want to offset energy and disposal costs, interest continues to grow in anaerobic digestion. This series of four webinars to be held in July and August are designed to provide the tools needed to plan, build and operate a successful plant that meets the desired needs for the targeted feedstock and energy outputs individual operations are looking for.

REW
Editor Kristin Smith says, “It’s that unprecedented level of interest that has driven our decision to partner once again with GBB to develop a program that will help waste managers make educated decisions for the future of their waste streams.”

A four-part series allows attendees to increase their understanding in key areas of AD, from feedstock preparation to technology considerations and energy output possibilities. Individuals can sign up for one or more sessions in this series and listen from the convenience of their desks as speakers share how AD can create value for operations and how the technology can vary from input to output.

The schedule is as follows:

  • Thursday, July 16, 1 – 2 p.m. EDT, Anaerobic Digestion Fundamentals;
  • Thursday, July 30, 1 – 2 p.m. EDT, Feedstock and Technology Considerations for Wet Anaerobic Digestion;
  • Thursday, Aug.13, 1 – 2 p.m. EDT, Feedstock and Technology Considerations for Dry Anaerobic Digestion; and
  • Thursday, Aug. 27, 1 – 2 p.m. EDT, Putting Anaerobic Digestion to Work.

Attendees can register for one, two, three or all four virtual events by visiting www.rewmag.com/REWSummerSchool. The cost is $99 to register for one webinar and $75 to register for each additional webinar.
