Bulk Handling Systems (BHS), Eugene, Ore., has named Tim Horkay to the position of international business development manager. In this new position, Horkay will be responsible for driving international sales growth in markets outside of the United States and Europe. He will work closely with BHS’ existing network of international sales agents. BHS designs, engineers, manufactures and installs sorting systems and components for the solid waste, recycling, waste-to-energy and construction and demolition industries.

“BHS has united the world’s most effective brands to offer an integrated solution that is very much in demand globally,” says BHS President John Warne. “This international demand has created a strategic need to bring Tim aboard to focus on supporting our international representatives and growing our business presence overseas. Tim has a long track record of success in the waste and recycling industry; we are fortunate to bring aboard someone of his caliber and are excited to welcome him to the BHS family.”

Horkay will be based in the southeastern U.S. and will work with BHS representatives in South America, Asia, Australia and the Middle East. He was most recently a vice president of production and fiber marketing with a large fiber firm and has managed recycling operations and sales in a number of roles for 20 years. He has a bachelor's degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and expects to earn an MBA from William and Mary College in spring 2014.
