Shredding and recycling equipment manufacturer Vecoplan, based in Archdale, North Carolina, has received a Platinum Hermes Creative Award for its “Shredding Frenzy” booth at NPE 2015, an international plastics showcase held March 23-27 in Orlando, Florida.
The Hermes Creative Awards were established more than three decades ago to honor the messengers and creators of traditional and developing media. The awards recognizing outstanding talent within the marketing and communication industries are administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The Platinum award is the group’s highest honor.
Vecoplan’s exhibit manufacturing company, Apple Rock Advertising and Promotions Inc., headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina, entered the company's booth into the competition. It received the Platinum award in the category of advertising and trade show exhibits for the custom design and build of a display. According to the event organizers, only 15 percent of entrants won the coveted Platinum award. .gif)
The “Shredding Frenzy” exhibit featured a shark tank meeting room, fully loaded interactive technology space and a hanging sign that used lights and computer images to project sharks.
“NPE 2015 was one of the most successful trade shows we’ve ever participated in, and our shark-themed booth contributed greatly to that success,” says Kim James, marketing director of Vecoplan LLC. “It literally stopped attendees in their tracks and enticed them onto our booth. I think this award-winning exhibit is a perfect example of a true team effort-paying off in big time ROI.”
Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the conceptualization, writing and design of marketing materials or programs. More than 6,000 entries were received in 2015 from 22 different countries in 195 different categories. The categories included advertising, integrated marketing, public relations, electronic media and trade show exhibitions.
