Vecoplan LLC, High Point, North Carolina, has named Uwe Eschenhorst as the vice president of its cement business unit.
Eschenhorst joined Vecoplan in 2012 as the vice president of the company’s Alternative Fuels and Energy Competency Center. Prior to that, he was environmental services manager at Polysius Corp. – USA, working with the cement and minerals industries. While at Polysius, Eschenhorst directed the design, engineering, construction and implementation of large systems and entire plants that incorporated the use of alternative fuels as an integral component of the cement production process.
He brings more than 14 years of practical experience to his new position at Vecoplan.
Eschenhorst holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering /fluid, fuel and heat engineering, a master’s degree in mechatronics and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering / process engineering.

In his new position, Eschenhorst will be responsible for sales in the North American cement industry. He also will supervise all strategic aspects of large projects in this sector.
Vecoplan is a provider of processing technologies and comprehensive systems for the production of alternative fuel from waste and biomass. Systems technologies from Vecoplan include receiving stations, primary shredding, conveying, ferrous metals separation, screening, air classification, optical sorting, nonferrous metals separation, secondary shredding, storage, mixing stations, sampling stations, testing stations, metered feeding of fuel and integration of system controls.
