Shredding equipment company adds mechanical engineer James Smith.
Untha UK,, a manufacturer of shredding equipment headquartered in Boroughbridge, United Kingdom, has added James Smith, a mechanical and electrical engineer, to its sales staff. His employment history includes working on servicing and refurbishing various machinery, including hydraulics, gears and pumps.
Untha UK says Smith’s multifaceted industrial background will give the company added value for its diverse shredding projects.
Paul Collins, Untha UK’s project and services manager, says, “With more Untha shredders in operation in the U.K. than ever before, it is important that our after-sales team grows accordingly. From the installation expertise we deliver, through to the machine maintenance and servicing we provide, we need to have enough talented engineers on hand to support clients with their evolving shredding requirements. This is crucial if we are to uphold the standards for which we’re renowned.”
Collins continues, “Not only does James have the practical skill-set we require, he is personable and passionate about engineering too. This means he turns up to jobs with the right ‘can do’ attitude and a desire to go the extra mile, however complex the shredding scenario.”
Says Smith, “I knew that my expertise would transfer perfectly to waste and recycling projects, and I was excited by the prospect of learning more about this growing sector. The fact that UNTHA UK is a well-known brand within the industry also means I have the opportunity to work on some of the highest profile shredding contracts in the country.”
Smith continues, “As much as I enjoy putting my engineering know-how to good use, it is the customer-facing element of a role like this that really motivates me. Members of our team are able to support clients from the very earliest stages of their projects, and then through the ongoing usage of their machine, which is a fantastic position to be in.”
